Summer Cooking: Free Yourself From the Range


It’s not lazy to offer up a plate of sandwiches for dinner in the summer—it’s just a good way to keep cool. The Washington Post focuses its dining section on all the ways you can eat without turning on your stove or any other appliance that radiates heat. From a dressed up turkey sandwich with smoked Gouda, pickled red onions and cherries to a refreshing green gazpacho, there are enough recipes to keep you cool and content for at least a week.

In the soups and smoothies category, I’m particularly intrigued by a the recipe for Cool and Spicy Mango Yogurt Soup.
