Summer Cocktail Ideas

Maybe it’s because I’m stuck at work on a sunny Memorial Day. But the summer cocktails in the New York Post look particularly appealing. Among the offerings: an iced tea/rum punch blend, and a Caipirinha with a strawberry twist.

A few years ago, the New York Daily News published a recipe that has become the signature drink of our summer cocktail parties.

The Porch Swing:

1/2 oz. Hendrick’s gin
1/2 oz. Pimm’s No. 1
4 oz. homemade lemonade
Add a splash of 7-Up
Finish with finely sliced half-moon cucumbers
