Study: Women More Likely to Have Sex after Text Relationship

Gentleman, listen up: Start practicing your text-ese. A new study found that women are much more likely to sleep with men that they’ve been conversing with via text or social media. The New York Post says the digital foreplay creates anticipation as well as creating the impression that two people know each other more intimately than they actually do.

If you’re looking for something to say, Men’s Health did some field research on the topic. They say the world’s best pick-up line is a simple one: “You have beautiful lips.” Interestingly, answers varied depending on where pick-up lines were uttered. Apparently, telling a woman she’s got great ears is a good move in both Portugal and the Netherlands.

And if you’re looking for some inspiration, Playboy.com put together a list of the best (and worst) sexts, culled from the pages of Texts from Last Night. It’s pretty NSFW but the winner in the category of Worst Display of Manhood is funny, repeatable and offers a good cautionary tale: “Afterwards we were spooning and he said he wished he was a kangaroo so he could put me in his pouch and keep me forever. I left as soon as he was asleep.”
