A little over a month ago, I sat down with Duff McDonald for an interview destined to become an article in New York Magazine’s “Encounter” section. In our case, the venue was a reception at the Canadian Consulate in New York. The result?  “62 Minutes with Pat Kiernan,” which hits newsstands today.

In lieu of an actual picture, today we have a story from a former barista that might perhaps, shed some light on how to avoid a Starbucks alter ego.

Jon Stewart had plenty of new material upon his return from vacation last night. He missed a busy news week, and returned with the question: “We’re at war, again?”

This guy is my double. He was “standing in” for me yesterday as I practiced my lines for a quick appearance on “Law and Order: Criminal Intent.” I was quite amused that even I needed a double so, of course, had to get a picture.
