In case you missed this one as it made the rounds on the weekend, San Diego sports reporter Ben Higgins was almost run down on live TV on Friday night. He was doing a live report for KGTV from the site of an NCAA basketball game in Tucson when a van started backing up toward him.

When I looked out my window tonight all I saw was a regular-looking full moon. After tweeting that I was underwhelmed with how “super” the moon was, I got a couple of replies with photos far superior to mine.

I’m the subject of the New York Magazine food blog’s “New York Diet” feature today. Every week they ask someone to talk about EVERYTHING he or she ate that week. My instinct (40 minutes into the interview) was that this is too much information. But on Twitter today Andrew Beaujon was among many who shared the link. He described today’s Grub Street installment as “strangely compelling.”
