The New York Daily News asked me what I’m doing for Father’s Day. The answer was simple: I’m off with the kids for a long-planned end-of-school trip to Disney World.

The president has a new single out. The latest mash-up from the folks at BarackDubs—a YouTube channel which specializes in mincing Obama’s words, setting them to pop songs, and then getting millions and millions of page views—has dropped. And if you’ve been dying to hear “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen come out of the president’s lips, today is your lucky day. VIDEO

And I thought I was good. You’ve got to check out this VIDEO of a new Guinness World Record being set. It’s for the tightest parallel parking job on the books. A Chinese driver named Han Yue was able to park a Mini Cooper between two cars with only 5.91 inches to spare. And he did the whole thing looking cool and collected.

Tis the season for misspelling! The Starbucks Alter Egos keep rolling in. Today’s is from a gentleman named Richard. He writes, via Twitter: “Went to @Starbucks to cure my poor spelling. Seems it was contagious. Last time I try my shorter name.” Short, long—it doesn’t matter Rich!

Today we got an international addition to our Starbucks roster from Blair, who’s in Spain.

Today’s Starbucks Alter Ego comes from Rachel, who happened to find herself in line at Starbucks behind another Rachel. “God bless a witty barista,” she writes,  after reading his strategy for differentiating between the two of them on the side of her cup.

My name is in a somewhat disturbing headline: More Reasons to Leave New York: Pat Kiernan, Insomnia and the Pencil-In. But Howard Jordon Jr., Huffington Post blogger and author of “101 Reasons to Leave New York,” doesn’t have it in for me—he actually has quite a few nice things to say.

Our Starbucks Alter Ego of the day comes from Luge Pravda this morning, who sent me this photo via Twitter. He writes: “I’m used to my name being misspelt, but this one takes some beating, 3 letters in wrong place.” The bright side: At least they got all the right letters in there, despite their order.
