Verizon Ends iPhone’s Midwest Dead Zone

People in four states will be partying like it’s 2007 today says the New York Times. The launch of Verizon’s iPhone means that residents of Wyoming, Montana and North and South Dakota will finally be able to buy an iPhone. AT&T, which until now was the smartphone’s exclusive carrier, doesn’t cover that area of the country. The Times says “despite some lingering resentment about being left behind” Apple stores are expecting big lines for today’s debut.
