When you really think about what kissing entails, it’s kind of gross. But the Houston Chronicle says it’s a lot more than just swapping spit. There’s a whole science behind kissing, one that involves chemistry, history and anthropology. In honor of Valentine’s Day, the paper puts together some tips to help your technique, like making sure the person in your sights is someone you know: “Getting to know each other encourages hormones that foster a feeling of attachment. That means that some of those chemicals found when someone is experiencing a good kiss will already be in the system when you plant one on him or her.”
