Love is Good for Your Health

What’s love got to do with…your health? Quite a bit says the Washington Post. According to experts, love can do everything from lowering blood pressure to helping speed up a person’s recovery time. Different types of lovey-dovey behavior do different things. For example, holding someone’s hand can release the hormone oxytocin, which lowers stress levels. And studies show that being in a happy marriage encourages people to invest in preventative health measures like exercise and healthy eating. Even friendship can have a positive effect.
