Supersized Roses Invade Valentine’s Day

There’s giving long-stemmed roses to your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day and then there’s giving really long-stemmed roses. USA Today says the hottest gift this year is the six-foot rose. The “flower-on-steroids” grow to its enormous size because of special breeding and soil and is also available in two-foot, three-foot and five-foot varieties. They are not cheap, however. Buying a dozen of the five-footers will set you back about $300.
