Study: ‘Mixed-Weight Couple’ Argue More

The Wall Street Journal takes a look at “mixed-weight couples” in this morning’s paper. That would be couples whose diet and fitness routines are out of sync. For example, if one person always likes to exercise it can be tough to find an activity to enjoy together. According to a recent study, mixed-weight couples get in more arguments and harbor more resentment than same-weight couples. The researchers don’t yet have a firm opinion on whether conflict causes the weight gain or if weight gain is a reaction to the conflict.
