Skype Weddings All the Rage


You may now kiss the computer. The New York Times chronicles the rise of the Skype wedding in today’s paper. Officially it’s known as a proxy wedding when one spouse is in a remote location, and the Times says they’ve been going on for centuries (Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI had one.) But the trend is sending US immigration officials into a tizzy, even though few states allow proxy marriages and most require one person to be a member of the military.
