Sign of the Times: Snow in Jerusalem


It might seem odd to see Jerusalem’s palm trees covered with snow as they were yesterday, but you might as well get used to it. The New York Times says snow in the Middle East is just the latest example of the extreme weather that is becoming more common around the globe: China is dealing with its coldest winter in 30 years; Brazil with its hottest spell; and it’s so cold in Russia that the traffic lights recently stopped working.
