San Fran Ties LA For Worst Traffic Award

How dare they! San Franciscans are outraged that their city’s traffic has tied, gasp, Los Angeles as the second worst in the nation according to a new study. The Texas Transportation Institute’s Urban Mobility Report puts both California cities in second place behind this year’s winner, DC. The Chronicle protests that while the “Southern California parking lots called a freeway” are congested simply because of so many cars, San Francisco’s congestion has more to do with stalled by bridges, tunnels and toll collection.
