New Jersey Supreme Court: Legal to Slap Teenagers

Attention parents: If you get the urge to slap your teenager, do it in New Jersey. The Star-Ledger says the state’s Supreme Court just ruled that slapping a teenager and/or taking their wages does not constitute child abuse or neglect. The unanimous decision found that “although hardly admirable ... does not fit a common sense prohibition against ‘excessive’ corporal punishment.”
