It’s that time of year again, folks. The Wall Street Journal publishes Walt Mossberg’s fall Laptop Buyer’s Guide in this morning’s paper. Mossberg says an element of confusion has been added to the search for a good laptop, mainly thanks to an effort by Microsoft to meld touch screens with traditional computers. He also tackles the Windows 8 vs Windows 8 Pro question. If you need to connect to your office network from home, go with the latter, says Mossberg.
