Cadbury Creates ‘Temperature Tolerant Chocolate’

Pockets and hands everywhere—breathe a sigh of relief. According to a patent application filed by Cadbury, heat-resistant chocolate will soon be on the market says the LA Times. In the application, the confectioner detailed how the new chocolate remained unchanged after three hours in an incubator cranked to 104°. The innovation, which Cadbury is calling “temperature tolerant chocolate,” came about after food scientists discovered that if they break down sugar into smaller pieces, they could decrease the amount of melty fat on each.
