11th Commandment: Thou Shalt Dress Appropriately for Work

Just three weeks after taking office, a county clerk in Florida has issued a six-page degree about what to wear—and what not to wear—to work.  Among the new rules to take effect later this month: No ankle-high boots with skirts. No “pants that sag, or hang too low, [or] stirrup pants of a clinging material.” And “no garments with lots of sequins or beads.” The Orlando Sentinel says most perplexing to court workers was the all-caps declaration (first uttered by Yul Brenner in “The 10 Commandments”) found on the memo: “SO LET IT BE WRITTEN. SO LET IT BE DONE.”
