Women Prefer Sexy Photos of Clean Fridges, Made Beds

What do women find sexy? Here’s a hint, says Monica Hesse of the Washington Post: It’s not a picture of bulging briefs. Inspired by Rep. Anthony Weiner’s recent Twitter photo scandal, Hesse asked a sampling of women what kinds of photos they find sexy. “I would like a photo of a made bed,” said one. “Folded laundry,” said another, “maybe in a wicker basket.”  And the women she spoke with weren’t outliers. According to a psychology professor, the things that turn women on run the gamut, however, “f you look at the empirical literature, it does indicate that the majority of women are not as aroused by pictures of naked man-parts.”  So what to photograph? Hesse offers up her own suggestion: “How about a photograph of you gently caressing the yogurt, as you rotate the soon-to-expire food to the front of the refrigerator?”
