Spending your days looking wistfully out the office window? Well, the Newark Star Ledger has an idea—why not try workamping. The “coupling of RV travel and seasonal employment” has about 750,000 adherents and is growing in popularity. Most of those who opt for the non-traditional arrangement are older—the average age is 59—and trade prime parking spots and free electricity for part-time work at state parks and camping grounds. The Ledger says workamping has become more important as state budget cuts have forced local governments to depend on volunteers:
