Whoops! Mugger Steals Phone During GPS Real-Time Demo

Talk about a wrong turn. The San Jose Mercury News says a thief made the mistake of stealing a smartphone just as a Silicon Valley CEO was demonstrating how his company’s GPS software worked in real time. The CEO asked an intern to take the phone around the block as part of the demonstration. As a group of investors tracked her remotely, she was mugged. Back in the boardroom, the group said they knew something was awry when the phone started moving quickly away from the office complex. With the help of police, the mugger was apprehended and the phone, recovered. I’m guessing that was one of the most convincing sales pitches the company had ever made.
