Explaining bin Laden News to Kids: What Does his Death Mean?

The papers are filled with Osama bin Laden this morning: interactive graphics, updates, analysis. But one of the best things I read came from the Washington Post‘s kids section. It’s a simple piece that answers basic questions your kids might have about who Bin Laden was, what his death means, and what to make of the millions of people celebrating his death.
The Post does some nice work on behalf of its adult audience too, including this image, which I’ve seen in several papers, of the president and his staff watching the raid go down. The headline, and accompanying story reference the “months of planning, minutes of execution.”

The Post also includes an interesting interactive graphic detailing the layout of Bin Laden’s compound.
