Vonn Wins Women’s Downhill

Yesterday was “Vonn fine day” writes Bill Plaschke of the LA Times. I was there to see Lindsey Vonn ski to victory for the US in the women’s downhill at Whistler and it really was an amazing run. Plaschke says her victory was made sweeter by the “injured shin, irritated teammates, iridescent bikinis, and gondola full of pressure” that she faced going into the race.
