Video Game Voice Actors Getting “Shortchanged”


As video games continue their assent to feature film status, many actors that voice the game’s characters feel their compensation isn’t commensurate with their hard work reports the LA Times. Blockbuster games like “Halo” and “Grand Theft Auto” have made the industry one of the fastest growing in Hollywood, yet $30,000 is a typical salary for actors who work in video games.  And the Times says a new contract proposed by the Screen Actors Guild “would mean doing more work for less money.”
