Used SUV, Trucks More Expensive Than New Ones

Wrap your head around this: The Wall Street Journal says a new car can actually cost less than a used one these days.

Specifically, if you’re in the market for a SUV or pickup truck. Skyrocketing gas prices in 2008 and 2009 forced auto companies to slash production on gas-guzzling models. But now that gas prices have returned to below $3/gallon, more and more people are in the market for bigger vehicles—except now, there is a limited supply. It’s a situation that, in some cases, is driving the price up higher than that of a new model.
