The Sarah Palin Brand

David Carr investigates what exactly the appeal of Sarah Palin is in his New York Times column this morning. He writes that while many thought her crossover from politics to media “would be fatal to her ambitions,” it has in fact become a “kind of credential.” Carr writes that Palin “has tunneled her own route into the public consciousness and gone into the Sarah Palin Across America business.”
