The Power of Positive Procrastination

John Tierney meant to write his health column for January 1st. But he procrastinated. In fact, that’s the topic of his New York Times column this morning. Tierney looks at something called “positive procrastination,” which he claims is not an oxymoron. It’s the idea that putting off tasks is fine, if you fill your time completing other tasks on your to do list. Using that rationale, “forgetting” to mow the lawn is perfectly acceptable, if you sort the papers on your desk instead.
