The business mogul tells reporter John Jurgensen that in the “early days of his entrepreneurship” some “white-collar guys didn’t know how to relate to him: “In the beginning it was ’ ‘Sup, man!’” “But at this point, it’s pretty much accepted that I walk both worlds naturally.” Up next is a book—organized around lyrics from 36 famous Jay-Z songs—that the Journal calls a “hybrid of music history, social commentary and memoir.”
