Terror Attack Shakes Russia

A terror attack at Moscow’s busiest airport yesterday killed more than thirty people and left Russia shaken reports the New York Times this morning. Apparently the work of a suicide bomber, the blast “inflicted a deep injury on Moscow’s image just as President Dmitri A. Medvedev prepared to woo foreign investors at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.” No one has come forward to claim responsibility as of yet, but the Times says the fragile relationship between Russia’s ethnic groups will likely be tested in the coming weeks as facts emerge from the smoke.
The Wall Street Journal says many believe the bomber was from the Caucaus, an impoverished region in the country’s south. The Journal got says the footage below, which was posted on YouTube, shows the aftermath of the attack:
