Tennessee Fireflies a Beacon for Tourists


Looking for fireflies is one of summer’s greatest treats. But in Elkmont, Tennessee you don’t have to look that hard says the New York Times—because they’re everywhere. The nightly “light show” put on by the thousands of fireflies who call the Great Smoky Mountains National Park home was once a local secret. Now, it’s one of the region’s most popular tourist attractions.
