Swimsuit Edition Goes 3-D

Some Florida publishers are taking the swimsuit edition concept to a whole other dimension. The Miami Herald says the models in Hip Hop Weekly will look a little different this time around. That’s because they’ll appear in 3-D in a special calendar that comes in the latest issue of the magazine. The publishers say they’re trying to keep their print publication relevant with a dose of technology. It’s a strategy that’s being used across the industry as subscription numbers plummet.
