Surprises, Strong Emotions in NCAA Bracket

The NCAA bracket was announced over the weekend, says USA Today, and includes four No. 1 seeds: Duke, Kansas, Pittsburgh and Ohio State. Also piquing some interest are several No. 2 seeded teams that haven’t made it to the conference in a while. Notre Dame is one that insiders are keeping an eye on. San Diego State and Florida look strong this year too.

This year’s tournament has 68 teams, the largest ever. But there were several prominent teams left out, prompting outrage in parts of the country. The Denver Post says ays Colorado players were “shocked” and ESPN announcers “aghast” that the Buffs didn’t make the cut.
