Spell check has ruined us. We can’t speell anithang thees dayz, says the New York Daily News. A recent study in Britain found that one-third of those asked couldn’t spell ‘definitely’ or ‘separate’ correctly without using their computers or smartphones to correct them.  And forget supercalifragilisticexpialidocious—for two-thirds of the test takers ‘necessary’ was a spelling challenge too difficult to manage.
