Turns out male fruit flies have something in common with their human counterparts. Scientists say when denied sex, male fruit flies will take comfort in alcohol. The Houston Chronicle says not only has the new research provided insights about human behavior and addiction, it gives us the opportunity to note the evolutionary similarities we share with the “humble fly.”
