The Wall Street Journal makes a case for hitting the snooze button in this morning’s paper. Harvard Medical School researchers have concluded that one-third of Americans don’t get enough sleep, which translates into billions of dollars in lost productivity. Specifically, about $63.2 billion is lost annually due to something called “presenteeism,” people showing up for work when they are sleep-deprived. A separate study found that workers waste about 8.4 minutes per hour of interrupted sleep.
