Study: Internet Changes the Brain


This is your brain. This is your brain on Google. The San Jose Mercury News says the Internet is changing the way our brains work. Three professors staged memory experiments and concluded that people tend to forget the things they know will be easy to look up online. They concluded that people are becoming more adept at remembering where to find facts, instead of the facts themselves. Or as the Mercury News puts it: “We’re outsourcing ‘search’ from our brains to our computers.”
