Your dog is good for your health. Tara Parker Pope’s column in the New York Times today makes the logical conclusion that, if you have an active pet you’re going to be more active too. Not only are dog owners more likely to takes walks, they are more likely to meet the federal government’s suggested amount of weekly exercise. Beyond just a trip to the curb and back, researchers found that dog owners are more likely to be active in every area of their lives—not just when nature calls to Fido.
