Spirit to Charge $100 Carry-On Fee

This is getting out of control. According to the front page of the Sun Sentinel, Spirit Airlines isn’t satisfied with its baggage fee. You’ll remember that Spirit is the airline that started charging for carry-on luggage last year. Well, starting in November, passengers will be charged $100 for the carry-on bags they want to store in overhead bins. Right now the fee is $45.
