“Slope Rage” Leads Man to Punch Teenage Girl

Nothing like punching a 14-year-old girl to show your family you’ve got the Christmas spirit. A dad from Georgia is facing assault charges after clocking a teenage girl on the ski slopes reports the Denver Post this morning. The father became irate after the girl accidentally ran into his four-year-old son. The girl, a beginner skier visiting from Mexico,  told authorities she had swerved to avoid another person when she ran into the toddler. Apparently, the boy’s father didn’t see that part—because he promptly “jumped on top of the girl and hit her in the face with his fist.” He continued to do so until he was pulled off by a ski instructor.

The Post says incidents of “slope rage” are rare but usually result in a swift and indefinite ban for the people involved.
