A Florida couple has Pearly the Parrot to thank for saving them from a fire in their Fort Lauderdale home. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel says the couple awoke to screeching they’d never heard before. They discovered a fire in the laundry room - and firefighters arrived within minutes to put it out.
