Schwarzenegger Breakup Followed Baby Daddy Revelation

The Los Angeles Times was onto a story and prints a blockbuster article this morning as a result: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s split with Maria Shriver came after his revelation to her that he was the father of a child born a decade ago to a member of their household staff. In a statement released only after the Times started asking questions, the former California governor said, “After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago.” The story is on the front page:

Both the child and the staff member are not being named to protect their privacy, but the Times says the woman worked for Schwarzenegger’s family for over 20 years and just recently retired in January. Apparently, the news just came to light recently, prompting Shriver to move out once she confirmed her husband’s paternity of the other child. The Times says Schwarzenegger has been financially responsible for the child since birth.

Shriver has, apparently, not taken any steps towards formalizing a divorce as of yet. But TMZ claims she’s working with a “very powerful financial adviser”; it is rumored that the couple have a prenup but because they’ve been marrid for so long, making it stand up in court may be difficult.
