Schools Outlaw Hugging


It was a “virus of hugs” says the Oregonian. A middle school principal in Portland recently outlawed hugging after he says it reached epidemic proportions. And they weren’t all goodwill hugs - some were dispensed to embarrassed underclassmen. And some parents claimed “that girls were using hugging as a game to see how fast boys could become aroused.“The paper says a growing list of schools around the country have reclassified hugs as unwanted touching and subsequently banned them.
