Melon is about as quintessentially summer as it gets. But who says it always has to be sweet? The San Jose Mercury News has some great savory melon recipes to experiment with in today’s paper. Like a salad of green melon, cubanelle peppers and ricotta salata. Or watermelon salad with feta, herbs and two kinds of chilies.
