Review: Finally, a Good Jennifer Aniston Movie

If you’ve been holding your breath in the “crazy hope of one day actually seeing Jennifer Aniston in a good movie,” then take a moment and exhale slowly. The San Francisco Chronicle says the new flick, “Just Go With It” combines “Adam Sandler’s acerbic sweetness with Aniston’s down-to-earth warmth.” Interestingly, that’s the nicest thing I read all day about the film—most of the reviews I read weren’t horrible but they ranged from OK to a disaster.

Chronicle reviewer Mick LaSalle, however, liked it, writing, “It’s a movie about the romance of familiarity, about the satisfaction and spiritual necessity of actually knowing someone and being known. So much of movie romance is usually about the opposite of that, about going off into the unknown, about adventure in the form of, not physical danger, but emotional danger.”
