Rarity of Pope’s Decision on Display

There are two indications of how historically rare it is for a Pope to step down in the New York Post this morning.  On the left side, the paper prints the story of Pope Gregory the 12th, the last pope to resign. That happened in 1415 and the circumstances were very different. There was a battle at that time, as two other men claimed they should be the leader of Catholic church. And on the right side, the name game. The Vatican doesn’t really have a title for a living former Pope.
