I saw someone on a payphone in midtown last week and thought to myself, “how quaint.” But maybe not. The New York Post says payphones are being reimagined with the 21st century in mind. Call them public smartphones. The new computer kiosks will let you check email, use various apps. Oh yeah, and you can make phone calls from them too.
