Primping for Postpartum Pics

Thanks to Facebook, giving birth has become a much more public affair says the Boston Globe, which means mothers-to-be are putting more energy into their post-delivery appearance. Along with pjs and a good book, some moms are getting hair appointments, having pedicures—even shopping for “flattering hospital johnnies.”
Explains one expectant mom: “It’s 100 percent about the baby. But I have to be in some of those pictures and I want to look as good as I can.” Experts say primping for birth photos follows the trend towards scheduled births that has emerged in recent years.
