Passengers on a Delta flight out of Atlanta on Saturday night gave their pilot a big compliment for his grace under pressure—they called him their Sully. The New York Daily News says the comparison happened after pilot Jack Conroyd, a veteran of the Navy, landed their plane despite landing gear that was stuck in the up position. Flight attendants prepared passengers for the worst, shouting “heads down” to make sure passengers were in a crash position. But one aspiring director managed to capture the whole thing on video.
