Palin, Bachmann Go From Friends to Frenemies

They’ve gone from friends to frenemies. The Minneapolis Star Tribune says just over a year ago, when Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin shared the stage at a Twin Cities event they pair looked like close friends. Not anymore. As the race for the GOP nomination heats up Bachmann seems to have adopted a strategy that includes distancing herself from Palin, who she’s called “not serious” in recent weeks. Actually a strategist hired by Bachmann called Palin “not serious,” a comment the Palin camp has deemed necessary of a public apology. Who knows if they’ll get it. Says one GOP strategist: “Maybe there is only room for one articulate, good-looking conservative broad in the race.”
