Outrage as Scalpers Mark Up Sandy Relief Tickets

Sen. Chuck Schumer is “appalled” that scalpers are trying to make a profit off the 12-12-12 benefit concert for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Yesterday, he called on StubHub and other resale sites to stop listing tickets for more than their face value. The New York Daily News says one pair of tickets was traded for $3,700.  Critics say any markup should be going to the Sandy charities—not to some scalper’s pockets.
